Hey guys,

I know we usually discuss this on rides lol (like tonight at BP), so i figured id post up some info that kayla found:

Credit card practices that are NOT allowed

Advance deposit: If a customer is billed for an advance deposit, that amount must be applied toward the balance of the purchase. The merchant cannot charge the deposit plus the full purchase price.
Blank sales drafts: Merchants cannot have cardholders sign a blank sales draft before the final transaction amount is known.
Cash: Cash disbursement from credit cards is prohibited by merchants and should only be handled by financial institutions.
Cash-only refunds: If refunds are accepted, they must be made to the card used for the original purchase or, if posted, as an in-store credit or exchange. Merchants doing otherwise are in violation. Also, return policies must be disclosed to the cardholder at the time of the credit card transaction.
Credit card options: A vendor cannot choose your payment option. If a vendor accepts various payment options, the payment choice remains at the customer's discretion.
Delinquency: The merchant cannot bill the cardholder's credit card account for a delinquent account or for the collection of a dishonored check.
Discrimination:If a merchant accepts a card, that merchant cannot discriminate from whom it accepts the card -- when properly presented -- as payment.
ID: Merchants may ask for additional ID, but this cannot be a condition of acceptance.
Personal ID: Several states prohibit merchants writing cardholder personal information on a sales receipt.
Purchase amounts: Merchants cannot impose minimum or maximum purchase amounts for credit card transactions.
Surcharges: Merchants are prohibited from adding fees on to credit card purchases.
Taxes: Merchants cannot collect sales tax separately as cash; it must be included in the purchase price.
Zero-percent tip: Merchants are not allowed to include an estimated tip in the authorization amount secured from the merchant bank. Taxicabs, limousines, bars taverns, beauty salons, barbershops, health and beauty spas, and restaurant authorizations are automatically assessed a 20 percent additional authorization amount to cover the expected tip.

Credit card practices that are allowed

Convenience fees: Convenience fees can be imposed by merchants who provide alternate payment services -- such as shops that offer utility payment services -- and can be added to the transaction amount. The transaction must be a legitimate, alternate payment channel outside of the merchant's normal business practice, the fee must be disclosed to the customer and the customer must have the opportunity to decline the transaction.
Delayed delivery: When purchasing an item or service to be delivered at a future date, the vendor can process two transactions -- a deposit and the balance amount; however, the vendor must obtain two separate authorizations for both dates and both amounts and can only submit the balance amount upon the actual delivery of the item or service.
Discount for cash transaction: Merchants can offer this discount as long as the information is clearly disclosed to customers and the cash price is presented as a discount from the standard price charged for all other forms of payment.
Mail order: Mail order merchants must send the store's refund and credit policies to the customer for signature and return before completing the sale. The document can be sent by e-mail, fax, or mail. Acceptance can be accomplished on the Internet via an agree/accept function where the customer reads a terms and conditions form and checks the "agree" box before ordering any products or services.
Partial authorization: Authorizing a portion of a sale to guarantee a portion of the purchase amount is at the discretion of the merchant and the customer.
Refund/exchange policies: If not processing refunds to credit cards, vendors must clearly post if credit card returns will be made via exchange or in-store credit or if returns are simply not accepted.
Split-tender: Acceptance of a split-tender (accepting multiple payment forms) occurs at a merchant's discretion.

So if anyone is giving you shit about minimum purchases, just tell them they can not do that and you will report them to visa for trying to pull this BS on you and that it is not your problem they are not making profit off of small purchases made with a card. If they dont like to pay the fees, accept cash only; problem solved. Woodman's in oak creek, their gas station is cash only i believe.. I mean normally someone would just buy another soda or something, but fuck it, i aint rolling over for these fuckers that make insane profits off of everything else.. ah my bad you didnt make a profit off of that slim jim i just bought... :lol

Wake Up Call

So after leading the group tonight i got a big wake up call.

More people need to start out on 250's.

Anytime we needed to turn the people in back would always lag way behind because of the few squids that cant lean a bit to get around the corner.

Gotta go through a roundabout? Forget about it, the group will get 5x longer with the squids slowing everyone way down.

But Charlie youre a squid, you crashed your second day of riding! Thats true, but I can gurantee my riding has improved 1000% and I could keep up with most of the riders in AOM who ride 600's. Even with my 250. I'm talking about corners, because we all know squids are the best at twisting that throttle.

The funniest shit was when Squidly Chris (black cbr600rr) put up single file hand signal on a slow sweeper on Lake Dr, but then tried to pass me on a 25mph snake also on Lake Dr. Needless to say he couldnt keep his lean angle, got scared, chopped throttle and i watched him run wide behind me.

But I'm not on here to call people out, brag about me being some awesome rider, or to make enemies. I just needed to vent a bit after tonight and hopefully noone will get too offended but im sure there are some squids that will.

saturday night our brother chaos hit a deer on his bike... at 70mph... we were riding home from dundee at about 930... i was right behind him when we came around a left hand turn, then it happened.... all i saw was a flash of a breaklight and an explosion of fur and plastic... luckily his ninja reaction time allowed him to kinda fall off the left side of the bike a split second before impact.. although his bike is fucked.... he walked away with a couple of broken fingers and some road rash on his ass. the crazy thing is..... i had his girl on the back of my bike.... if she was on his..... this could have been tragic.

...are righteously kick ass. kid i ride with has the pazzo shorties on his r6. i ordered the FireDragonBrothers set from china, and i can happily say that the build quality feels perfect. no real slop at all(aside from my clutch pivot screw being messed up, but that isnt the lever's fault). the pull seems slightly easier than the stock levers. the adjusters work fine, and the color(black for my levers) looks sexy as hell. for 50 bucks shipped, totally worth it. also, the shipping time was fast as hell. i ordered them last thursday and got them this friday. for basically a one week wait on a part all the way from china, thats pretty good for me.

LOS ANGELES � An off-road truck plowed into a crowd and scattered "bodies everywhere" moments after sailing off a jump at a California race, killing eight people and injuring 12 others, authorities and witnesses said.
The crash came shortly after the start of the California 200, a Saturday evening race in the Mojave Desert, said San Bernardino County sheriff's spokeswoman Cindy Bachman.
Bachman said eight people died and 12 were injured, several of them seriously. Seven ambulances and 10 emergency aircraft responded to the scene. Most of the injured were airlifted from the area to Loma Linda University Medical Center or St. Mary's Medical Center.
"There was dust everywhere, people screaming, people running," David Conklin, a photographer covering the event for off-road magazines, told The Associated Press.
Conklin said the Prerunner truck was among the first 20 off the line in the race, which began at about 8 p.m. It had just gone over a jump known as "the rockpile" about two miles into the race, and he said he watched the truck sail through the air. Then he turned to watch for other vehicles when he heard the commotion caused by the crash.
"When I got up to the vehicle I could tell that several people were trapped. There were just bodies everywhere," he said. "One woman with a major head wound (was) lying in a pool of blood. Someone else was crushed beneath the car."
The truck came to a rest upside down with its oversized wheels pointing toward the sky, dust swirling in the meek light of the setting sun. Spectators rushed to the truck and about half a dozen people flipped it upright to try to help at least one person pinned underneath.
Officials said the driver wasn't hurt but had to flee the scene to escape angry spectators.
The 200-mile race is part of a series held in the Mojave Desert's Soggy Dry Lake Bed near the city of Lucerne Valley, 100 miles northeast of Los Angeles.
Tens of thousands of people attend the California 200, in which a variety of off-road vehicles take jumps and other obstacles and reach speeds up to 100 mph on the 50-mile off-road course. The race had been scheduled to last through the night.
The crowd was standing within 10 feet of the track with no guard rails separating them from the speeding vehicles.
"There were no barriers at all," Jeff Talbott, inland division chief for the California Highway Patrol, told the Riverside Press-Enterprise.
He said that the driver, who wasn't named, was forced to run from the scene when the crowd grew unruly and some began throwing rocks at him. It was not clear why he lost control of the truck.
The CHP does not normally investigate crashes at organized races, but took the lead on this probe because of its scope and had set up a command center at the starting line of the race.
The federal Bureau of Land Management was assisting in the investigation.
The event was sponsored by the South El Monte-based Mojave Desert Racing. No one picked up the phone at a number listed on the group's website early Sunday, and its message mailbox was full.
The crash was the latest in a series of race accidents that have proved deadly to spectators.
A car plowed into a crowd that had gathered to watch an illegal drag race on a suburban road in Accokeek, Maryland, in February 2008, killing eight people and injuring five. The two racers were charged with vehicular manslaughter. Darren Bullock, 22, was sentenced to 15 years in prison; Tavon Taylor, 20, is awaiting trial.
In Chandler, Ariz., in February, a female spectator was killed by a tire that flew off a crashing dragster at Chandler's Firebird International Raceway for the NHRA Arizona Nationals.
In Selmer, Tennessee, a dragster went out of control and smashed into spectators during a fundraising festival in June 2007, killing six people and injuring 22. Driver Troy Critchley, 38, was convicted of misdemeanor reckless assault charges and sentenced to 18 months probation.

Well, the motogp race is coming up soon. My buddies are trailering their bikes down including mine, Ill be in the states by then and will fly up there to meet them. The trailer is just an aluminum trailer. It is a 2 place bike trailer, it doesnt have chocks but it has the guides for the front tires, like little rails. The owner of the trailer says you can squeek 3 sport bikes onto it. Whats the best way to die down the bikes with no chocks. I was driving home from the gym tonight and a guy walking his dogs yelled at me to slow down. I was definately not driving too fast or recklessly. I got instantly pissed and stopped the car (in front of my house) and got in an argument with the guy. Neighbor called police. I ended up with a disorderly conduct ticket and a reckless driving ticket.

Does a reckless driving ticket on class d impact class M? Specifically insurance? I may end up selling the motorcycle as a result of all of this. The money to paythe fines are not a big deal at all. I just need the reckless driving to go away. Otherwise, no way I will choose to afford the insurance on the bike along with the increases on my auto coverage.

Whatsup guys, well as most of you know my deployment is ending here pretty soon. I rode my bike for about 2 weeks this year and would like to get some more time on it when I get to Ft. Benning. Does anyone have a trailer they would rent out for 2 or 3 months tops? I need to get my bike to benning and back. August is the earliest I would need it and December is the latest it would be back. I know its a lot to ask, but Im willing to let whoever name their own price so I can get some riding time in before I come back for the winter out of the Army. There are secure storage places ON FT. Benning where it would be parked and locked up. Im just looking for any options and using all resources available. If not, no big deal guys!

So today i was on my way home and hit the Hawley bridge that goes over state street and probably hit it the fastest ive ever done (70 or so) and boy did it feel good!

Anyways i get to the stop light and am sitting there watching the traffic slowly pile up behind me. All of a sudden this truck pulls up next to me and its this old white guy.

He yells "Are you drunk" I motion i cant hear him and he yells even louder "ARE YOU DRUNK" I'm laughing and respond " no im not drunk" he says "then why are you driving like that?!" " Im like its a sportbike, they are made for that!"

He then said to slow down and dont drive drunk and i took off on him.

Kinda funny becuase as it was my first and hopefully last confronation about riding to fast from a civilian.

I know that WJVL has many listeners in Northern, Illinois. I get several phone calls during the 'Drive at 5' from people either coming from or going to Illinois on the way home from work. If you are driving through work zones in Illinois, beware! A new law starts today.

Illinois will begin using photo radar in freeway work zones in July. One mile per hour over the speed limit and the machine will get you a nice $375.00 ticket in the mail. Beginning July 1st, the State of Illinois will begin using the speed cameras in areas designated as "Work Zones" on major freeways. Anyone caught by these devices will be mailed a $375.00 ticket for the FIRST offense.

The SECOND offense will cost $1000.00 and comes with a 90-Day suspension. Drivers will also receive demerit points against their license, which allow insurance companies to raise Insurance rates.

This is the harshest penalty structure ever set for a governmental unit involving PHOTO speed enforcement. The State already has two camera vans on line issuing tickets 24/7 in work zones with speed limits lowered to 45 MPH. Photos of both the Driver's face and License plate are taken. Pass this on to everyone you know who might be affected!!!

A 26-year-old student observing a Hell's Angels rally in Germany dropped his pants, then threw a puppy at the bikers. He then attempted to escape to Munich on a stolen bulldozer. His plan didn't work.

According to local news, an unidentified student dropped trou before throwing a puppy � to reiterate, he threw a puppy � at a gang of Hell's Angels, then tried to escape the ensuing scuffle by running away and stealing a bulldozer from a construction site, driving off toward Munich. Because he chose a bulldozer to escape in, his getaway wasn't exactly fast, and it caused a three-mile backup. When the puppy-thrower determined he'd made a bad choice, he hopped off and fled to his home on foot, where police apprehended him.

There is no word on the reason for the thrown puppy (which is now safely in a local animal shelter), the charges laid upon the young man, or how much high-octane bier our un-hero consumed ahead of the incident. If you're thinking this doesn't make any sense, that's because it doesn't. The story reads like a particularly ridiculous Hunter S. Thompson bender; all it needs is more guns. (Hat tip to Skycog!)

With the new job I am walking around on concrete floors all day with no carpet or padding to speak of and several times a day I have to make the long walk across to the other store and then way into the back for the offices and most of the time I'm in a hurry.

I got fed up with knee pain and lower back stress and went looking for relief. I bought new shoes and that didnt really help completely. I got Dr Scholls $15 gel inserts for my shoes and that was softer but my ankles were getting stressed from my fast ass causing the gel inserts to 'wiggle' in the shoes so I dumped those.

I kept seeing those freakin commercials for the Dr Scholls custom insert kiosks and such and gave it a try. I have worked on my feet for years but never walked so much on concrete and such.

Found a kiosk which 5 were local to me on their website and tried out the little deal. Step on the machine follow the simple directions and probably look like a fool doing it but then it tells you of the 10 styles which one will fit you best.

Dr. Scholl's

Prepare for it tho as they arent cheap by any means. $50 for damn inserts is stupid stupid stupid but just let me say after working today I would gladly get my wife a set for her shoes.

Best damn investment I have made in the form of foot relief including higher end shoes and all of it.

Well I just got a call from the main guy for All-out-Motorsports to do St. Francis Dayz parade again. They definetly want us back!!!! They want to give us as much space as we need to do whatever we want to do. Jim you and Greg really made a show out there and they are really really interested in having us come back for a repeat performance!!!! I guess there is video of Jim and Greg doing wheelies down the parade for like 20 or 30 seconds, the video is located at STFRANCISDAYZ.com. They are willing to accomidate us with whatever we need, they will be having ppl walk along with us with water for u guys as well. They want the fiddy's to come back and they where wondering if we could get a couple stunters to come out and perform as well. So, who would all be down for doing this again this year??? I guess we where the main talk of everyone. Anyone from the crowd up to police that where there were talking about us and how awsome that was. The date that this will be taking place is September 4th, its a saturday. Show up time will be at 10 in the morning. So again who is all down for doing this this year?? :cheers:rockwoot

My work needs someone for 1st shift punch press operator. It's shit pay but its easy as hell and almost impossible to get fired from if you work at all. I'd guess in the $9-11/hr range. Located in Northeast Milwaukee, roughly Capital/Green Bay Rd. Hours are 7-330 M-F.

I guess just let me know. Need to hire someone asap.
